Join The Lebanon City Police Department and its community to walk and honor Lt. William Lebo during our annual “Umbrella Walk.” The Umbrella Walk is not just a tribute to him but also a celebration of the police profession and all who take the oath to serve and protect. Join us as we walk in remembrance, respect, and gratitude.

The walk from Optimist Memorial Park to the police station replicated the walk taken for more than 40 years by Lt. William Lebo. Lebanon Police Chief Bret Fisher created the Umbrella Walk to honor Lebo’s unique tradition of walking to work every day with an umbrella, just in case it rained.

All Proceeds benefit scholarships and projects aimed at strengthening our Lebanon community. Why the Umbrella? Rain or shine, Lt. Lebo walked to work every day, carrying the same green and white golf umbrella—one placed by the back door at home, another at the police station. It was more than just shelter from the elements; it was a symbol of his dedication, preparation, and quiet reflection. Those umbrellas remain by the doors today… just in case. Lt. Lebo dedicated 40 years to the City of Lebanon, serving with honor, love, and devotion.
